Doug was THE BEST GUIDE!!! This was our favorite activity in Austin. We got a full view of the city, saw Barton Springs, great tour of hill country, and all in a convertible van with Doug as our guide! Highly recommend!!!
– KMILL12 via TripAdvisorDope tour!! I had no idea Austin had all these beautiful things!! Enjoyed Tour, highly recommend this company!
– 341aubreet on TripAdvisorA no nonsense 90 minute guided trip without any stops. Michael our driver and guide was not a local but had a good knowledge, so would never have known. As well as the talk, there was audio recording to give us extra information and bring it to life.
– JosefT_13 via TripAdvisorExcellent tour guide. He provided a great, informative tour and clearly loves what he does. We’d take another tour with him again!
– Moy_B via TripAdvisorOur tour guide gave us a great overview of Austin and added information to the canned descriptions. He was funny and engaging and made sure we had great food recommendations for the rest of our trip. The sights were beautiful and I filled my phone with lots of pictures and memories.
– bethanyf369 via TripAdvisorPhenomenal staff. Upon check in there were friendly smiles, clean bathrooms and a great gift shop. The tour guide was very informative and helpful. I took the extended version and I highly recommend it. Austin is like several little cities all around a city. The trip was so speedy but lots of information packed in.
– 2010trip03 via TripAdvisorWe had a great time on our tour. It was a good combination of recorded and the guide sharing. We had an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and personable. It was nice to get a good overview of the city and also see outside the city especially since we didn’t have a car. We enjoyed our tour.
– amtravelgirl via TripAdvisorSuper-great! I traveled here for business conference and had some time in the afternoon - taking this tour makes me want to come back on a personal vacation with a guest, as I was able to see that there's lots to experience in Austin! The van we traveled in was extremely clean and comfortable, and our driver was really friendly.
– 15marieclaudeg via TripAdvisorOur driver/tour guide was very personable, and we learned quite a lot about Austin from him. We were amazed at how much we were able to see in an hour a a half
– Richard on TripAdvisorExcellent comprehensive tour of Austin. The tour went first to the fringes of the city giving us a panoramic view of how it is situated among lakes, waterways and spectacular countryside. Then we were treated with a neighborhood by neighborhood ride through the city nd university. It was well narrated with just the right amount of information - history and current - and by both a prerecorded, well produced recording of two people interacting, and our tour guide interjecting during pauses and to answer questions. I routinely take such a tour when arriving in a city in order have an overview before going out on my own. This is one of the better ones. I highly recommend it - comfortable, well accommodated van carried a perfect smallish group.
– josephkR7048MX via TripAdvisorCorey was the best guide!! Very nice comfortable ride and took us by many interesting spots. Parking garage right around the corner. Book directly with AO Tours and it save you some $$, my advice.
– Aaron D via TripAdvisorLoved it all, good historical information, beautiful sights. Our tour guide Cory was absolutely the best! Very reasonably priced, timed really well, and considered a very good use of the time.
– Vicki_G via ViatorVery nice tour for an overview of some of the sights in Austin. Very comfortable van. Lots of construction in Austin, so it was nice to have someone else driving around the city. Highly recommend short but informative tour. Very organized and on time with friendly driver.
– Maura_T via TripAdvisorOur guide, Doug, was very informative, engaging and funny. This was an afternoon and money well spent. Thank you Doug!
– 671rosemaryl on TripAdvisorOur tour guide was personable with insider tips and experiences throughout the various areas. Overall, the vehicle was clean, comfortable and designed for panoramic views of the city and hill country. This tour is well worth the time and cost - definitely recommend!
– Kathryn M via TripAdvisorThis is a great 90 min tour of Austin. The van was comfortable and air conditioned. Our driver, Jordan, was great. As we were driving thru the neighborhoods of Austin, he added his own thoughts and personal history to the commentary that was playing during the tour. Best part of the tour- driving thru the Austin cemetery! I highly recommend this tour for those who don't have a lot of time in Austin but want to see a lot of the city.
– TravelinTheresa on TripAdvisorDoug was our tour director and was so very informative. Some of us got rid of the earbuds and only listened to him. He provided choices for our group as far as the walking, taking into consideration the group's ability. He also let our group decide when to open the convertible top. We'd use him and AO Tours again.
– 467donaldb on TripAdvisorCan I give this tour six out of 5? A true whistle-stop tour of Austin and Hill Country, with an excellent introduction to this beautiful city, its history & future, and stunning views from Hill Country. Our tour guide was Doug, knowledgeable, funny and a safe driver. His commentary, anecdotes and tips of where to go for food, nightlife and more were spot on. I had originally planned to do a more localized walking tour (but didn't due to timing issues) and I'm glad I did the AO Austin and Hill Country tour instead as it gave me a better introduction and understanding of the city and what it has to offer - and has added lots to my "must see & do" list, much of which I may have remained unaware of without the tour. Thank you Doug for a brilliant 90 min introduction to this amazing city. Please note: this tour does not have any photo (or other) stops but you will have great views from the minibus.
– SabineBogeCro via TripAdvisorThe Library, it is amazing! With beautiful walking space right across the street. Also Doug the driver was a great host, a little bit of historical data with current history of each section of town and interlaced with some funny personal stories. Glad I went!
– Marilyn_S via TripadvisorThe tour was amazing - gave us a great perspective of the many sides of Austin from the stunning hills in the West to the best food trucks in the east. Bus was brand new and very comfortable and the driver made sure we weren’t stuck in traffic wasting the tour. Would highly recommend doing this early in your trip to get your bearings.
– SteCull via TripAdvisorThe tour guide Ms. Ari was awesome. My family enjoyed the bus trip. Very helpful staff(Mary) when called for the parking information and even during the last minutes arrival call I made she made communication to the guide that we were there and waiting at the bus instead we supposed to be at their visitor center. Great price and bus. It's worth to use their service and strongly recommend it. Thank you AO Tour
– daxabenp2021 TripAdvisorThe fact that my family in Clarksville and our family church Sweetheart are mentioned on this tour. I was born and raised in Austin but moved in high school. I learned a lot about the history and beauty of my hometown.
– Kim_J via ViatorExcellent tour, guide made it entertaining and interactive. This was my first visit to Austin and he gave me lots of food ideas and places to visit.
– carolgF1389FF via TripAdvisorCarson was funny and entertaining! What a better way to beat the heat and get to know Austin, TX! I definitely recommend the tour!
– Ericka_M via ViatorIt was my first time in Austin, so I wanted to see the full city and this tour was great. Tour guide had good energy and the vehicle was comfortable! I only gave it a 4 because there was no glass ceiling on the vehicle I got on ... I was a tad disappointed, but the views were amazing! I did the non-stop, so I'm sure the other option is amazing.
– A Demitri via Google ReviewsDow was our tour guide. He is a native Texan and knew so many unique things besides the highlights of Austin. The vehicle was warm and comfortable with large windows for easy viewing, the audio was clear, Dow was open to questions and interested in where the guests were from. Even though the weather was chilly with a light rain, the tour was great!!
– Jackie B via TripAdvisorI was in town for a meeting and had time to spare. Not knowing the city of Austin at all I decided the tour would be a great way to get a good overview. It was 90 minutes with both narration by recording and information from the driver/host. I thoroughly enjoyed the time and what I learned about Austin. It made me want to return to actually enjoy what the city has to offer.
– roberttM6542ZT via TripAdvisorVery pleasant guide (Greg) and informative overview of Austin - gave us our bearings upon arrival. Very cool city with distinct districts for all tastes!
– Fran R via ViatorVery good tour. Enjoyable to have someone drive us around and tell us about Austin. We may have to try another tour!!!
– Shelly_F via ViatorThe gentleman who led the tour was authentic and delightful and very knowledgeable he knew the city inside and out from a live perspective. I was only in Austin for about four hours and I’m so glad I chose to use the time to take this tour. Thank you!
– Kathie_M via ViatorScenic view of Austin from Hill country. We also had a great tour guide. Fun and friendly. Great way to get a idea of Austin and fun things to do.
– Maureen_L via ViatorSunday's tour, Austin +Hill Country 90-minute Non-Stop was very nice. I think our guide was Kim and she explained all areas as we drove past with exciting views. I had been waiting for a long time to see the Pennybacker bridge and I finally got my wish. The van was kind of uncomfortable since it was smaller than the larger Mercedes black van with open top. Overall, I would recommend this day trip. Thanks go to our knowledgeable guide.
– Leon W via YelpWonderful tour guide, Kim. She was knowledgeable and funny. This is the second time we have used Viator and will definitely use this company again.
– Barbara_C via ViatorThe whole experience was effortless from the booking, finding the pick up spot and completing the tour. Our guide was a native of Wisconsin but claimed Austin her home of 20 years. She maneuvered our Mercedes van through a busy downtown and winding hill roadways safely and timely so we could get the most from the experience. I’ll be using this company in the future. Keep Austin Weird!
– gem3seeker via ViatorDow was prompt, friendly and overall great. Learned he has family in our city…small world. We saw parts of Austin we would have never seen. Glad that we took the tour, will use this company again. The van was nice, clean. Dow you are an excellent driver❗️
– MORROWS via Google ReviewsI prefer traveling in this nice air conditioned van seeing Austin, than walking around sweaty and lost. Thanks Kim!
– Dee Dee Breeze on Google ReviewsHost was very nice and informative. The tour gave a great overview of the Austin area which helped me plan the rest of the trip. Very comfortable air conditioned van which was great as it was hot and humid.
– richpage via ViatorI am a native Texan and I've spent lots of time in Austin. Yesterday this tour illuminated numerous things about the city that I didn't know I really enjoyed myself. Kim was extremely informative and the recorded in recorded information was great.
– David_D via ViatorGreat way to learn about Austin. Tour director was great and did a wonderful job. DEFINITELY 5 STARS!
– Pamela_M via ViatorThis was my first Austin and Hill Country Tour. The tour guide did an excellent job of accommodating his guests and sharing little known facts. State Highway 165 is such a fact. It is the shortest or one of the shortest highways in Texas, flows through the Texas State Cemetery/Texas Arlington located in East Austin. Who knew!!
– Gloria_A via ViatorKim was fun and add some local info to enhance the presentation. She made sure we were all comfortable and enjoyed the experience.
– Bibiana_G via ViatorKimberly does a great job accommodating the entire group. Her knowledge of Austin and surrounding areas were very helpful. I really enjoyed the local perspective to help us navigate the city.
– Irene S via Google ReviewsBe on time, make sure you eat and use RR. Tour was nice, some recorded info & other added by driver. Super cool way to see main Austin spots fast, was able to take tons of pictures. Would def recommend this tour van.

– 748nort via TripAdvisorOur tour guide Ari was very enjoyable and gave great advice and insight about the city. What I loved most about this tour was that it gave us a chance to see not just downtown, but some of the hill country, suburbs, and other places that you otherwise would have never gotten to see if you were only spending your trip downtown. This was the PERFECT way to start our 4-day vacation in the city, and I would highly recommend it to anyone going to Austin as a tourist.
– Elisabeth via ViatorGreat tour. Educational and fun. The tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. The transportation was clean and a great place to cool down on a hot day.

– Sandy N via TripAdvisorI was in Austin for a weekend and this was a great way to see the City/Hill Country with the time I had. Our guide Joel was extremely knowledgeable of the area and gave a lot of interesting historical insight and suggestions on places to visit after the tour. The drive through the hill country was also wonderful, lots of amazing views of the hills and city in the distance.
– Michael l via Google ReviewsWe love these tours in every city we visit - this one was particularly fun, van very comfortable as it was hot in Austin even in March! Our guide was great, we all connected and had a lot of good conversation and saw so much of the city sites. Really got a good sense of the area and this helped us plan the rest of our sight seeing for our trip. Recommend it highly!
– Voyager277017 via TripAdvisorI and my family are happy that we took the city tour. The guide gave us a good insight into the vibrant Austin. Austin east west north and south all have their own distinct identity. Unfortunately we took this tour on the day of the return. I recommend this to be taken on the first day of your first time visit to Austin so that you can plan better. The tour made us leave Austin with a happy note.
– Joshua B via Google Reviews"Loved the tour! Quick, prompt, quality. The bus is really new, clean, and the windows are also clean!!(most tour buses usually have dirty windows). Really sweet and knowledgeable guide, took her time to explain/tell information that was interesting for us. This is for sure the best way to see the city and the hills to get overall good understating of the area. We were very satisfied!
– pckeithley via TripAdvisor"Malina was such a SWEETIE!! She was so nice to my kids and family. I often tend to be a guy that is outgoing and cheerful and it’s tough to get others to match my energy but she was just as cheerful as i was. She went above and beyond for our family. the customer service is top notch, I was getting recommendations for places before the store even began by texting the number on their Website once I had booked a tour. They’re a company that value safety. I really appreciated the extra precautions they take on the kids wearing appropriate car seat equipment. It shows they’re truly caring people and want the best for the customers. I will def return again and bring my parents from Houston."
– Salma K via Google Reviews"Andrew was a great tour guide and pointed out very interesting places with good background on each area so we were able to get a great idea of what makes Austin the way it is with so many different areas that make it such a unique city!"
– Maria C via TripAdvisor"If you are new to Austin and want an overview of the area, this is the tour to take. It is about 90 minutes long, and our tour guide Andrew was well-informed, friendly and interesting. The starting point of this tour is difficult because there is so much construction going on around the Visitors Center. Once we parked in the suggested pubic parking lot (only $5 flat fee) we walked around looking for the meeting place at the Visitors Center. I called the tour company and spoke to Mary, who was extremely friendly and helpful, and she led us to the spot. Thanks to Andrew and Mary for a very pleasant morning touring Austin."
– canoincorporated via Google"The tour was a great overview of Austin. The tour guide was knowledgeable about the area and although she had been driving all day, still treated my tour with great enthusiasm and was extremely pleasant. It is a difficult time to be in the tour business and I was just so appreciative they are still up and operating whilst taking the necessary precautions to not spread Covid with hand sanitizers, Temp readings and spraying down the buses. Five stars to the management team and thank you for being in the business of making memories. Hang in there!"
– Mobile712110 via TripAdvisor"I wish I could give this company more than 5 stars. The company owner reached out and helped us come up with a custom tour in the over 100* heat. While other tour companies are closed during Covid, we were able to have fun during our stay in Austin with our 2 tours in their luxurious air conditioned ride. If it were not for this tour company, we would have been sitting in our hotel our entire vacation. Thank you so much for your tour of Austin Texas."
– marionclarkfla via TripAdvisor"Instead of driving around, getting lost and not knowing the history or importance of the places we'd find, we took the tour to really hear and see the different parts of Austin. Andrew pointed out the highlights of each area. We were really glad we did the tour."
– denycet366 via TripAdvisor"Our first morning in Austin was cold and rainy so we decided to take a tour of the city so we could see where we wanted to come back to. Ari, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was good to see the Hill Country which we probably wouldn’t have seen otherwise. If you are looking for a way to see Austin and learn about its history, I highly recommend this tour!"
– VeeVeeZZ via TripAdvisor"My sister and I took the 90 minute tour to get an overview of Austin. We had 3 days to explore Austin and this was a great way to get the “lay of the land”. We took several suggestions from our tour guide, Andrew, including lunch at Franklin Barbecue, a visit to the amazing Library, a visit to Shady Grove, Rainey Street, Zilker Park and the spring fed pool. Fun times!"
